CPR and Defibrillation training course

£15 per person

Course content
  • Assessment of the casualty
  • Managing an emergency situation
  • Recovery position instruction
  • Airway management including bag, valve and mask use
  • Cardiopulmonary resus (CPR) including practice
  • Correct use of an AED (defibrillator)
Certification
  • Candidates who complete the course will receive certification that is valid for 1 year. CQC recognised.
Duration of course
  • 1 to 2 hours

Fire Safety and Practical Fire Extinguisher Course

£35 per person

Course content
  • Fire Safety in the workplace and at home
  • The responsibilities of a fire warden
  • Evacuation procedure
  • How to safely react to and tackle a fire
  • How to use a fire extinguisher and assess which type of extinguisher to use in different scenarios
  • How and when to call the Fire and Rescue service
  • On-hands, practical use of a real fire extinguisher on a demonstration fire
Certification
  • Candidates who complete the course will receive a certificate that is valid for 1 year. CQC recognised.
Duration of course
  • 2 to 3 hours
  • This course is taught by active firefighters with real-life experiences. It is a perfect place to ask questions and learn what to do in an emergency, fire-related situation.

Emergency First Aid at Work (Accredited)

£100 per person

  • Legislation and Responsibilities
  • First Aid Kits
  • Safety and Assessing the Situation
  • Primary Survey
  • Unresponsive, breathing casualties
  • Unresponsive, non-breathing casualties (CPR)
  • Defibrillation
  • Choking
  • Seizures
  • Wounds and bleeding
  • Shock
  • Burns
Certification
  • This course is accredited and regulated by Ofqual. It is fully HSE compliant. Assessment is via ongoing practical exercises and verbal questioning. Delegates who successfully complete the course will be awarded a certificate in Emergency First Aid at Work, that is valid for 3 years. Re-qualification is by completion of the same course.

    Delegates must be 16 or older.

Duration of course

6 hours

  • Each delegate will receive a first aid manual and other handouts during the course.

  • This course is a non-accredited course for those wishing to gain a basic understanding of first aid techniques. There are lots of opportunities for hand-on practice.

4 hours

Mental Health First Aid (Accredited)

Level 1: £80 per person
Level 2: £145 per person
Level 3: £275 per person

Level 3 (otherwise know as ‘Supervising First Aid for Mental Health’)

  • Providing advice and starting a conversation
  • Drugs and alcohol
  • First Aid for Mental Health action plan
  • First Aid for Mental Health in the workplace
  • A large range of Mental Health conditions covered in detail
Certification
  • This course is accredited and regulated by Ofqual. It is fully HSE compliant. Assessment is via ongoing practical exercises and verbal questioning. Delegates who successfully complete the course will be awarded a certificate in First Aid for Mental Health. Currently there is no need to take a refresher course after successful completion of the course.

    The minimum age for this course is recommended as 18 due to course content.

Emergency Paediatric First Aid at Work (Accredited)

£95 per person

Assessment is via ongoing practical exercises, written assessments and verbal questioning. Delegates who successful complete the course will be awarded a certificate in Emergency Paediatric First Aid at Work, that is valid for 3 years. Re-qualification is by completion of the same course.

    Delegates must be 14 or older.

Duration of course

6 hours

  • Intended for teachers, teaching assistants, childminders and all those whose profession involves the care of babies and children.
  • Each delegate will receive a first aid manual and other handouts during the course.

Discounts are available for bookings of 5 people or more.
